We're continuing to celebrate successes even as we are all stuck at home!

Here are some highlights:

This week's home hero WODs proved to be just as challenging as those we'd do in the gym. OUCH.

Shout out to WENDY DUNSTAN who hung on for Home Badger, recording a score of 37:42. Way to stick that out, Wendy!

Give GORANA DRAGULIJIC a virtual high five with us for finishing Home Dork in under 30 minutes with a 16kg bell -- heavy and awesome!

Great job KAYLA SWALTEK for her ingenuity in coming up with creative implements for Home Blake. Jumping over a backpack and bringing back the 1970s old school weights (concrete encased in plastic) gave her a great workout!

Congrats to DAWN and JOE TROVATO for the new outdoor gym space -- and for doing Home Kalsu with some heavy weights!

ANGIE MARCH did amazing work on Home Emily, skipping the rest (most of us did!) and finishing in a blistering 25:07!

NEW VIDEO UP!

This week's video features Rusty talking through some questions about how we can train effectively without barbells, and the way we can still achieve intensity without the benefit of an in-person gym.

We've fielded some questions about "quarantine nutrition." Certainly, the stay-at-home order provides us some opportunities to think more carefully about what we are eating. Some of us might be faced with the challenge of eating because of boredom. In the Mirasol house, we are eating out far less than we normally do (though we are ordering in periodically to support local businesses).

With the potential additional stressors we are all facing, now may not be the best time for most of us to try to strictly dial in our fuel. However, we can recommend two basic strategies to create a little bit of awareness around your eating.

1) Try not to overeat. You can roughly calculate the number of calories you need using an online calculator, and try to simply stay within that number.

2) Try to avoid large amounts of processed carbohydrates and alcohol, which for some of us can lead to overindulging.

NEW ZOOM SESSION!!
