Plyo: What’s going on right now?
This week Lindsay and Rusty are traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the USAW Nationals. Let Lindsay know CFY and the WRBB club is rooting for her! If you’re interested in watching live footage, Lindsay is lifting on Friday afternoon, and there should be a live streaming link via the USAW website. Once we know the time her flight lifts and the URL for the stream, we’ll post it on the CFY FB page.
CrossFit York is pleased announce several new partnerships!
We are now an official Hylete dealer. If you follow the link from our website (or this one), and enter the code CFYORK25, you’ll receive 25% off your order. There will be other opportunities for additional savings and for custom CFY apparel in the future. We’ll keep you posted!
We are also working with Progenex to make group orders for protein and other recovery/nutritional aids. We’ll be taking orders for their products at the end of each month. Our exclusive discounted price list will be available shortly, but in the meantime you can browse the Progenex website to compile your shopping list.
Finally, we’ll be making FitAid, a performance recovery drink, available to our athletes for purchase at the box. Watch for the FitAid cooler to arrive any day!
Endurance: What’s coming up?
Self-defense classes beginning July 23 at 7:30. Steven Kearns, who teaches martial arts and has studied for over 2 decades, will be leading this class. Free for CrossFit York members.
The White Rose Barbell Open is FULL! However, we have opened 50 more spots and will extend the event to include Sunday sessions, so if you have not registered yet you still have a chance! Lifting during a meet is an awesome experience… just ask any one of our athletes who have participated in one.
CrossFit York Summer Pool Party is on Saturday, July 26 at 630 at the Fullam’s place. Please RSVP on the Facebook event page, and make sure to think up a fun snack or dish to share!
Bill Volmer, Devon Murray, Steve Kearns, Melony Grove, and Michal Tyson represented CrossFit York mightily this weekend as they conquered the Spartan Race here in PA, which was about 4 miles in the hills of Blue Mountain Ski resort! High fives all around!
