Chuck Thomas, CF-L2

Chuck is our resident gymnastics specialist. He’s known for helping our members improve their high-level skills, and you’ll often find him working closely, one-on-one, with those who seek out his help in improving pull-ups, muscle-ups, and handstand work. Many of our members achieve their first gymnastics skills because of Chuck’s careful cueing.

Catalino Gonzalez, USAW-L1

Catalino began training with CrossFit York in 2013, and he quickly became a weightlifting specialist. His natural strength combined with a knack for understanding power generation translate to talent in weightlifting. With patience and a keen eye for movement, Cat’s coaching superpower is helping our clients improve their olympic and power lifting technique.

Angie March

Angie March, CRNP, CF-L1

A 10+ year CrossFit veteran, Angie brings enthusiasm, knowledge, and the expertise of using CrossFit for her own personal fitness journey to each of her sessions. Angie’s sessions are known for preserving the “our warmup is your workout” reputation that CrossFit has.

AudraJo Bertolet

AudraJo Bertolet, CF-L1

AJ came to CrossFit looking to improve her strength for OCR and GORUCK events. She stayed because she found a community of adventure-seekers who shared her passion for linking physical fitness and mental toughness. That toughness translates to her coaching style: there’s definitely no sleeping on her watch.

Thaddeus Abbott, USAW L-1

A Member of USA Gymnastics, Thaddeus is also a USAG National Coach-Men's Artistic Gymnastics. He coached both Junior and Senior National Team members, D1 NCAA scholarship athletes,  and a member of the 2000 Olympic Team. He is a fan of the variety, body weight and functional fitness aspects of CrossFit, and loves the positive and supportive community at CFY. He finds enjoyment in helping others accomplish their goals, and is a believer that movement is necessary to achieve health and wellness.

Jessie Thomas, PT, DPT, CSCS, CF-L1

You’d never know from her bright, sunny smile that Jessie was a national championship rugby player for Pittsburgh—though her strength and ability to grind through tough workouts might give it away. When she’s not CrossFitting with her husband (Coach Chuck), she’s treating patients as a physical therapist, a skill that she brings to our members who ask her for advice on stretching and rehab.

Natalee Colón Gunderson, CF-L2

For Natalee, it’s all about hard work and community, and she walks it like she talks it, volunteering for local charities and serving on boards of directors. On top of all that, she manages to bring her best to the gym as an amazing coach and impressive athlete. Her positive attitude and kindness drive the heart and soul of our gym community.

Steve Kearns

Steve Kearns, CF-L1

A former martial arts instructor and competitor, Steve began training CrossFit in 2013. He quickly recognized the benefits of training with weights and functional, compound movements. He brings discipline and high expectations to his sessions, as well as extensive knowledge he’s developed from his dedication to staying on top of cutting edge research in CrossFit training.

Melony Kearns

Melony Kearns, CF-L1

Growing up with a mom who competed as a power lifter, Mel is no stranger to strong women. She also has extensive experience working nutrition and programming to “shape shift,” having competed in both martial arts and in figure competitions. As a CrossFit coach, Mel is thoughtful and technically articulate, offering clear explanations for movements and smart modifications where needed.

Reed Gunderson

Reed Gunderson, CF-L2

For Reed, coaching is natural. His personality is driven by nurturing and helping others. As a coach, he is attentive and patient. He strives for virtuosity both within himself—to be a role model—and with his athletes. He’s currently pursuing a graduate degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University.

Jennifer Moberly, USAW-L1

Coach Jen values fitness because she knows that if she’s not always physically ready, it could cost someone’s life. As a professional firefighter and paramedic, she spends her days (and nights) using her physical strength and mental acuity helping people. When she’s helping our members, she is also saving their lives by teaching them that their own fitness is in their control.
