Endurance: What’s Coming Up?

WOD for DOGS! A super fun WOD to help the lives of sheltered dogs. check out the website, make a donation, and have a blast! This Saturday CrossFit York is proud to sponsor a WOD that will help pups who are still looking for that one family to have as their own. 10:00am! Show up and meet some pups, do a fun workout, and see how you can help us help puppies like our very own CFY mascot, Maui.

All proceeds will help benefit Pitties.Love.Peace, the rescue where we found Maui.
We will be accepting monetary and pet supply donations!

You will also meet some available doggies looking for their forever home!

The White Rose Barbell Open registration will close on August 31. At the time of this writing, there are exactly 10 spots left. Don’t delay! Also, we are now in need of volunteers for both Saturday and Sunday that weekend (September 20 and 21). If you are willing to help (load the bars, work registration, or be a gopher/runner), please email Madeline ( with your availability (Think 8-5 both days… When are you free??). A volunteer schedule will be forthcoming. (Hey — remember! You can compete AND volunteer if you like… )

Heavy: CrossFit York Athletes Being Awesome

A quick farewell-for-now to some of our favorites: Drew Pierce, who is going to kick some a$$ at the University of Pittsburgh this fall (keep your eyes open… he’ll be visiting soon and often!). Erin Barnes, who we were so lucky to have for a few weeks while she worked at York Hospital as part of her preparation for her MD… She’s now back in Philadelphia to continue her studies (again… eyes peeled for her to visit soon!).

A hearty congrats to our Strongman competitors from this weekend! Lots of pics up on the FB CFY group… hard work from our athletes all around. Fun times and fun to watch. And a shout out to our awesome strongman coach, Tony, who worked hard to plan and pull off our day.
